Response From Sacramento Dept of Health 7/2/2020

I wrote to the Dept of Health for Sacramento County to make sure I was understanding the rules for Football and if it could be played at all. This was the response that I received. So folks until Sacramento County clears the path for any type of football practices or games to be played, it is not safe.

Ms. Youngcain,

Attached please find the guidelines for Sport Conditioning. Games, scrimmages, etc. are not allowed at this time.

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness that is spread through the air via respiratory droplets from an infected person or by touching contaminated surfaces.

If you would like to report a violation of the Order, please call 3-1-1 or 916-875-4311.

I am also including the Public Health Team if they would like to provide additional information.

Regards,

Michelle Gorre, Executive Secretary

On Behalf of Peter Beilenson, MD, MPH, DHS Director

To report a VIOLATION of the Public Health Order, call 3-1-1

For all other general COVID-19 inquiries, call 916-875-2400

So if you are holding any type of practice, scrimmages or conditioning in the Sacramento Area please be careful, the safety of your team should always come first...

We will not be holding any practices or scrimmages until it is safe to do so, our players and their families are our FIRST PRIORITY.

Look at it this way if the Professional Teams that get paid to play are not doing it, why are non paid teams doing it? Makes you wonder huh?
